Des Moines for Darfur is a designed to be a common meeting place for Iowans and Darfurian refugees to connect, discuss ideas and bring forth change together. We meet on a project-by-project basis. If you would like to be kept afloat of these projects or any pertinent information concerning the genocide, please send us your email and we will include you in our electronic updates.

The Des Moines for Darfur blog, maintained by the founder of the group, is a very useful tool for viewing and commenting on dynamic information like breaking news, current events, images and other commentary, so be sure to check it often.

One of our goals is to raise public awareness about the crisis in Darfur. In persuit of that goal, we will always try our best to create and maintain a presence in the local and regional media until this crisis is resolved.
